Since all assignments are entered at the start of the year, and all are pre-graded with a 45/NY, searching for “Upcoming Assignments” or “Graded Assignments” will show you all the assignments that have been entered, just as in the “All Assignments” view. However, you may use this search screen to look at assignments by Learning Target.

slide-23
SLIDE 23

Here, you can see how students are graded in each class (& how they are doing).

  • Long term learning targets
  • Individual assignments
  • Attendance information

There’s also historical information:

  • Previous report cards (starting now -- there’s no Engrade data in Pupil Path)
  • 3rd-8th grade ELA/math/science state test scores
  • Regents exams
  • High school transcripts

Grades - How to Understand Each of Your Classes

slide-24
SLIDE 24

Under “Class Performance” you can select a class to look at all the assignments for the semester, check student attendance, and see what level of mastery they’re at for each Long-Term Learning Target.

Choose the class you want to see from the drop-down menu. In every class, students start at 45%, but as they complete (and REVISE) their work, they’ll make small steps towards mastery!

slide-25
SLIDE 25

If you scroll down, you’ll see a breakdown of how students have done on all of their assignments and your overall Attendance.

This chart will turn from mostly red (Not Graded Yet / No Mastery) to increasingly yellow, green, and blue as they complete work and make progress. This chart should be almost entirely Green (Present). If students are often late or absent from class, then they need to develop better Habits of Scholarship!

slide-26
SLIDE 26

If you keep scrolling down, you can see every assignment in the class (along with the Long-Term Learning Target that it belongs to).

For example, these two assignments are under the Long Term Learning Target: “I can simplify expressions involving numbers and variables.” Both have a 45/100, which indicates that they haven’t been assigned / graded yet.

slide-27
SLIDE 27

At the bottom of each class page, you can see how teachers have weighted each of the Long Term Learning Targets. For academic classes, Habits of Scholarship will always be 20% of the total grade. The other Long Term Learning Targets will make up the other 80%.

LT #3 is worth 30% of the final

  • grade. It must be a really important

concept / skill to master!

slide-28
SLIDE 28

Under “Report Cards” you’ll eventually be able to look up past report cards. (But there’s nothing there yet, because we just started using Pupil Path.)

slide-29
SLIDE 29

UG students only - under “Transcripts” you can see progress towards HS graduation - it can show you credits earned by subject or by year

slide-30
SLIDE 30

Under “Exams” you can find a record of 3rd-8th grade state test and/or Regents results (if studetns took them).

SLIDE 31

Attendance

slide-32
SLIDE 32

Click “Attendance” on the side tab

slide-33

slide-35
SLIDE 35

Attendance Continued

  • You can also click on each individual class to find out

lateness, and individual class attendance. For example you can notice if your student has cut a class.

  • This can students, parents and teachers track not only
  • verall daily attendance but if they are showing up to

classes on time as well as if they cut any periods.

**You can explain to your student they can also monitor their

  • wn attendance and lateness. This can help them prioritize

their time transitioning in the morning or after lunch.**

Required Credits Accumulated:

After each semester, this section will be updated based on the credits your student will have earned. This information should inform what classes the student is programmed for at the start of each new semester. Work with your student’s Crew leader to make sure they are on track for on-time graduation!

slide-49
SLIDE 49

Attendance:

This will track your student’s overall attendance in school, in a percentage.

slide-50
SLIDE 50

Regents:

This will show the score your student has earned on the ELA Regents. If they took it more than

  • nce, only their highest score will be shown here.

Remember, BCS students are only required to take the ELA Regents to meet graduation

  • requirements. In place of the others, they will complete a Mastery PBAT in four core subjects.
slide-51
SLIDE 51

Course History:

This is your student’s

  • transcript. It shows all classes

the have taken in the four years of high school, along with the grade and credit earned. Any failed classes will be highlighted in red.

slide-52
SLIDE 52

Credit Count:

Another way to keep track of the required credits your student needs to graduate. This breaks them down by specific areas, and tells you which areas your student may be deficient in. Compare the Credits Earned with the Credits Required.

slide-53
SLIDE 53

Transfer School Tracker:

This will only be used if your student is planning to transfer to another school at some point during their high school career, whether out of state or in NYC. For now, no need to worry about it.
