 Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) order requires mandatory compliance with minimum reliability criteria.  Existing infrastructure initially forecasted to exceed capacity by Summer 2018 negatively impacting service reliability to local customers in Alexandria, Arlington and Northern Virginia.  Dominion’s recommended solution is to connect its Glebe Substation to Pepco’s Station C Substation with a new 230kV electrical transmission Line between Alexandria and Arlington in the vicinity of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Potomac Yard by way of proposed alternate routes.
