The vision for public health reform A Scotland where everybody thrives The ambition… Scotland to be a world leader in improving the public’s health, using knowledge, data and intelligence in innovative ways , creating a culture for health in Scotland, with an economic, social and physical environment which drives, enables and sustains healthy behaviours, and where individuals take ownership of their health. Public Health Scotland will support, enable and drive change to achieve this vision

Public Health Scotland – progress update Commissions – all in Supporting arrangements – place and delivering projects in place and progressing against December Legislation, Governance, IT, HR, timeline Finance, Support Services, Improving health Corporate Policy Protecting health Improving services ‘ Target Operating Model’ Data & intelligence work – commenced and due Leadership for RDI to complete March 2019 Leadership for workforce Bringing it all together development Timeline agreed – with dates for legal status, Chair & CEO recruitment and vesting day Legal entity by April 2019 Chair in place Spring 2019 CEO in place Summer 2019 All staff in new organisation by 1 December 2019
