“For postdocs and students, a network is an excellent asset in their career , thanks to the possibility to get funds to travel from one lab to another, and possibly to find a new lab for the next step in their career.” "What I liked most was the training school because it was very interactive, and apart from highly educational lectures, we also had practical laboratory sessions. As a PhD student, I have learnt a lot of useful techniques for my project." I absolutely recommend becoming a member of PROTEOSTASIS. Its strength is a widespread network of scientific groups with the same interests but different

  • specialisations. That makes it possible to initiate collaborations quickly and efficiently.

"I had a short-term scientific mission of one month at the laboratory of Professor Cathrine Lindon at the University of Cambridge, where I had access to cutting-edge tools."

Future

PROTEOSTASIS

slide-38
SLIDE 38
  • The network allowed to consolidate previous collaborations and generated new ones. Especially, the

Short Term Scientific Missions enabled the mobility of researchers between laboratories and the development of joint research projects.

  • In line with the H2020 Strategy, the transfer of knowledge to industry is a key part of PROTEOSTASIS and the

exploitation of the Translational projects consolidated during the lifetime of our Action.

  • Joint EU projects already implemented and future joint applications are being prepared between the members
  • f the network, which meets the COST Programme criteria for the consolidation of collaborations and

establishment of new ones.

  • The communication tools such as the Website, mailing list and the social networks will remain

active after the end of the project.

  • Possibility of creation of an International Scientific Society addressing the protein homeostasis subjects

covered by the network Working Groups.

How will PROTEOSTASIS continue after the ending of the funding period (by April 2018)
