What is Project SEARCH?

Project SEARCH is an internship program based in Swedish Edmonds Hospital that teaches students in their last year of school employability, social, and life skills. It shows employers that we are capable employees with skills that will help their business.

We got into Project SEARCH by...

• a. Clean Uniform, badge, and slacks
• b. Good Personal Hygiene

Sterile processing & Outdoor Maintenance

We Do Cool Jobs...Blake is in Sterile Processing (SPD)

My jobs are: I look for holes in filters, then put filters in the pans I use a cart for house pick up ( picking up dirty equipment ) I sanitize dirty equipment ( wearing PPE ) I Make tags for filter pans I get to wear cool uniform I check colored lids for ordering

Labor & Delivery And Gift Shop

Crystal works in the….. Gift Shop!!!

I do: Cashiering / count till for shift change Cleaning Up sell to customers Greet people Ask customers if the need help Sort / stock / price items to sell Answer the phone Keep items neat on shelves

Cristian works in the Kitchen!!!

I do these jobs everyday:

• Roll silverware
• Put bacon on pan sheets
• Serve customers
• Put jello in cups
• Put fruit in cups
• I make jell-o
• I cut strawberries & other fruits
• I clean up my workspace

We do cool jobs like...Laura in Labor & Delivery!!

I do lots daily like: I make coffee and hot water for the patients I make chart packets for the new moms I clean up the nurses’ stations I keep the lobby clean

Cedric works in……. Patient Access

My daily jobs include: Checking printer for paper Cleaning the lobby Picking up pocket talkers Counting wheelchairs Greeting patients Escorting patients

John earned an internship in Starbucks!!!

Some of the jobs I do are: Clean the condiment bar making iced tea take the garbage & recycling out restock the drinks check the expired dates restock the lids & cups washing dishes / start dishwasher sweep the floor

The Wound Center is where Joe works!!!

Stock Linens in rooms / clean utility Sanitize patient rooms Help clean / sanitize the Hyperbaric chambers Stock rooms with supplies I get to wear scrubs

Work hard to make money to buy a house. Full time job in Sterile Processing Get a job to buy DJ equipment for my own business Live in an apartment Work in an office building delivering mail To have a house and family To take CT wherever I want to go.
