2016 Bills Directing PED to Conduct Evaluations or Perform Other Duties

• Behavioral Health Partnership Pilot Program

(HB923) – Directs PED to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the pilot program and report no later than November 1, 2017

• School Construction Needs Study (HB1030, Section

25.1) – Directs PED to contract with an outside entity to conduct an independent assessment of school construction needs for low-wealth school administrative units and report by March 15, 2017

• Admin. Changes Retirement System/Treasurer

(HB1134) – Directs PED to examine other states that have implemented a normal retirement age for a pension system (no reporting date specified)

• Study Nonprofit Contracting (SB303, Section 2.7) –

Directs PED to study State law and internal agency policies and procedures for delivery of public services through State grants and contracts to nonprofit organizations and report no later than September 1, 2017
