1 in 5 students are presenting with learning differences (reading, number and motor skill disorders, attention- deficit hyperactivity disorder, high achievers). Recognizing and valuing these differences is a major challenge for any education system. At Chantemerle, students with learning differences are integrated into the regular class according to their age. In order to facilitate this integration, the teachers, the student and the parents, often with external specialist help, work together to implement a personalized coaching plan. Feeling understood and accepted, the student regains confidence and self-esteem. In small groups, surrounded by attentive and trained teachers, the student can progress at his/her own pace.
