Top tips:

  • Keep the presentation patient centred – about patient experience.
  • The title should clearly explain what the submission is about.
  • Use simple language. Avoid jargon and remove all acronyms!
  • Ensure text is clear and legible. Use point 14 text as a minimum.
  • Ensure what you are asking the group is clear and concise, how their feedback will influence the work and how you will feedback

to the group and others you have engaged with

  • Where possible, include indicative timelines and key dates.
  • Include a page at the end of the presentation with a few questions, to ensure you are being specific about what members can

influence.

  • Explain what will happen next. How will the group members know how their feedback has been used i.e. a 'you said we did'

report will be produced and published on the website, a presentation will be made to the board for consideration, and/or a follow up item will be on the agenda to give an update.

  • Include contact details.
