YOUR PPG PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP Woodgrange Medical Practice
Patient Participation Group Woodgrange Medical Practice has a successful Patient Participation Group (PPG) which started in July 2011 . Patient input is crucial to the development of our Practice services and the future of the NHS as a whole. We welcome Patients from all ages and backgrounds to join our PPG. Together with our PPG we aim to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services we provide and ensure that Patient voice is heard. We aim to build a bridge between Practice and Patient and work together to improve our service and delivery of care. Our PPG meets every quarterly to discuss current issues. We always ensure that we have a Partner of the Practice and a member of the Management team present at the meeting.

You Asked and We Did! Our PPG members made suggestions on things that they thought would help Improve the delivery of service. Below is a table of examples of what we did. PRACTICE PATIENT “There is a lot of noise travelling A partition board was set up to separate the call from the call centre to the front centre from front reception to allow for noise reduction and privacy reception” Boards were installed for ALL waiting areas “We don’t know where to directing patients where they needed to be wait for our appointment” waiting for their appointment. “I was on the 1 st Floor and I A Tensa barrier was installed for all 3 didn’t know the lift was not floors to be used in the event that the lift working!” ever became out of order.
We Won at the NHS Oscars! Woodgrange Medical Practice were thrilled to have WON at the Newham Oscars 2018. One of the awards won was in the category for ‘Recognising Contribution of Service Users’. The award was won by our valued PPG Member Caroline Brown.

Newham Oscars 2018 At the Oscars the practice were also pleased to have been a Runner Up at the awards for ‘Practice Responding to Service User Requests’ This was awarded to the practice for demonstrating how we responded to requests from Service Users (patients). The Presentation at the Practice
Woodgrange Fair Woodrange Medical Practice participated in the Annual Forest Gate Festival. Our Nurses and HCA’s offered the public free health checks including BP checks. We also promoted our practice and encouraged people to come forward and join our PPG programme. It was a great success and we had a great time !
PPG Dinner Woodgrange Medical Practice had the pleasure of taking our valued PPG Members out to dinner. It was a lovely meal out with the PPG members in a more relaxed setting. The hard work and effort of our PPG members is appreciated and extremely valuable in ensuring we stay ahead in leading the way for better healthcare working in partnership.
PPG Meetings come and Join Us! We hold quarterly PPG Meetings at the practice. Our Reports are published on our website including our agenda and meeting minutes.
