PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP
Woodgrange Medical Practice
Woodgrange Medical Practice has a successful Patient Participation Group (PPG) which started in July 2011. Patient input is crucial to the development of our Practice services and the future of the NHS as a whole. We welcome Patients from all ages and backgrounds to join our PPG. Together with our PPG we aim to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services we provide and ensure that Patient voice is heard. We aim to build a bridge between Practice and Patient and work together to improve our service and delivery of care. Our PPG meets every quarterly to discuss current issues. We always ensure that we have a Partner of the Practice and a member

Who are our PPG Members
Our PPG members made suggestions on things that they thought would help Improve the delivery of service. Below is a table of examples of what we did.
You Asked and We Did!
“There is a lot of noise travelling from the call centre to the front reception”
A partition board was set up to separate the call centre from front reception to allow for noise reduction and privacy
PATIENT PRACTICE “We don’t know where to wait for our appointment”
Boards were installed for ALL waiting areas directing patients where they needed to be waiting for their appointment.
“I was on the 1st Floor and I didn’t know the lift was not working!”
A Tensa barrier was installed for all 3 floors to be used in the event that the lift ever became out of order.
