Part Verb Feature This graph Shows/describes/explains How many dorayaki Doraemon eats compared to how many times Jam Ojisan bakes Anpanman a new head. The pink line is/shows/represents How many dorayaki Doraemon eats each year. The orange line is/shows/represents How many times each year Jam Ojisan bakes Anpanman a new head. The vertical axis Is/shows The number of times dorayaki are eaten or heads are baked. The horizontal axis Is/shows The years 2000 to 2015
- 1. As you can see, between 2001 and 2002 the number of dorayaki that Doraemon ate decreased sharply. This is
due to the fact that Doraemon went on a diet as he couldn’t get his hand into his pocket anymore.
- 2. You’ll notice that although Doraemon ate more dorayaki in 2003, his consumption of dorayaki declined
steadily until 2009. This is because although the price of butter and flour dropped in 2003 although Doraemon was still on a diet.
- 3. In 2013 Doraemon’s consumption of dorayaki spiked, before returning to normal levels in 2014. This is
because he was depressed because Nelson Mandela died, and he couldn’t stop eating dorayaki.
- 4. In comparison, you can see that the number of heads that Jam Ojisan had to bake Anpanman stayed steady
from 2000 to 2015.
- 5. In 2009 there was a peak in H1N1 flu, and Anpanman gave his head to 19 sick people, causing a peak in head
baking.
- 6. After a drop in 2013, the number of heads that Anpanman needed each year has increased steadily. This may
be due to higher levels of global conflict. In conclusion, you can see that while the number of dorayaki that Doraemon eats fluctuates significantly, the number of heads that Anpanman needs remains relatively steady. We therefore recommend that Doraemon hire Jam Ojisan to bake dorayki, so that he can increase his profit margins.
