PC dedicated to the understanding and the interpretation of port reality PC presents diversity of the economic spin-offs for the territory and potentialities in terms of employment for younger people PC have the vocation of explaining, educating and federating the port community and citizens, including private stakeholders PC have two essential elements: an exhibition and educative activities greatly based on personal experiences (interactive) PC is not only a “visitors” center with an exhibition, BUT main

identify budding projects and take note of the various initiatives with a confirmed pedagogical approach; constitute a data base of information and experiences enabling it to become a real management tool and decision aid for interested parties; address all the stakeholders (port and urban – public and private) to promote the port center concept as a real tool for the concrete implementation of the city –port relationship and thus also of the AIVP message; encourage the private and the educational sector ( schools, academic structures...) to work together on didactic and educational programs enabling the local and global challenges of port cities.
