The scientific research conducted at the University requires not only rigorous academics but also creativity. What we analyze under the microscope has implications for the whole world. We push our students to excel and cultivate their individual talents. The University's museums are used for both education and science. There are a few museums worth a mention: The Zoology Museum, The Crop Museum, Anatomical Museum, The Stone and Mineral Museum, The Soil Science Museum, The Parasitology Museum and the museum dedicated to the University's history. Student life is exciting and vibrant here at our University. Filled with various interesting events such as photo exhibitions, dance competitions, theatrical performances, choir evenings and many more, there is never a dull moment. We have amazing student teams such as in “Colored Dreams” theater, “Artis” dance theater, “Improvisation” vocal studio, “Ognetsvet” folk band, “Our Circle” drama theater and lastly “Elizabeth” dance band. Our students regularly participate and win prizes at regional festivals among competing Universities.
STUDENT LIFE AND STUDY
Sport is also very popular at the University. Our teams consist of: basketball, volleyball, football (male and female), arm wrestling, weight-lifting, Greco-Roman wrestling, athletics, ski racing, table tennis, powerlifting, sambo, grappling and chess. The members of student teams not only work but also take part in cultural events of Perm, Perm Krai and the Russian Federation. Working in student teams make them stronger and more confident individuals, develops independence and encourages professional education.
