Business Performance Sport and Health Business Plan Progress
- Community Sports Hubs (CSH) are now being developed at Stornoway (ISL), Liniclate, Ness
and Back, and discussions held with Tarbert and Daliburgh to develop Hubs in these communities.
- CSH Officers completed all sportscotland monitoring requirements prior to July deadline
- Sports Development Services continue to work with the H&I Institute of Sport and local sports
clubs and associations to develop our Performance Development Programme.
- One member of staff has now qualified as a UKSCA Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach
and will now receive support from the Institute to become a coach mentor to allow us to train and support coaches locally.
- 3 new coaches (1 in Stornoway and 2 in Liniclate) begin training on 30th August.
- Plans are in place to convert part of the “Hairy Hut” beside the ISL running track to an S&C
Facility.
- There were no formal complaints made in this quarter in relation to the service.
