35th Anniversary Jeff Saylor Track

  • District Champion for both shot put and discus in Senior

year

  • Placed 1st in the State meet for Discus with a throw of

162’8” and almost 20 feet ahead of the competition

  • Placed 6th in the State meet for Shot Put
  • "I was there and watched the winning throw. I believe

it was his last attempt…he worked hard to learn proper

  • form. In his last meet, on his last throw he executed his

throw like a Greek God. He walked out of the circle with a huge smile on his face.“ – Teammate, Brian George

  • “Jeff was an extremely hard worker on his technique,

bounding drills and in the weight room. He was a very consistent thrower. The state meet win was not a surprise to me as he had thrown 160' + several times.” – Coach Scott

  • Won the second consecutive state

title for Gymnastics

  • Went undefeated in regular season

they’ve had in many years at PVHS.”

  • The team was led by Leah Terrell,

Theresa Cummings, Kristi McDonald and Whitney Mansfield

  • Theresa Cummings was a state

champion in the Beam completion.

field and practiced on the current field

  • Played Poquoson in the title game

that was started on Friday and delayed until Saturday due to a storm

  • Defeated Poquoson in 9 innings by a

score of 7-2

  • 5 players are Hall of Fame members;
