This month the newsletter is supporting– The Friary

International Supper Next Saturday 8th February

All proceeds will go to The Friary 7.30pm– 10.30pm Everyone is invited to the Parish International Supper

  • n Saturday 8th February, we would like you to bring

your special dishes to this event and your family. Like every Parish event, we urgently need helpers to set up on the evening, setting up tables, Chafing sets for heating food, collecting dishes, and to help clear up. If your New Year ’s Resolution is to help people, then please consider helping us with this. There is a Helpers list at the back of church. Many hands make light work! There is also a list for dishes that will be donated as well. Please show your support. Thank you. This is a Live Simply Event too, so if we could ask you to bring your own plates and cutlery, and serving spoons for your dishes (please label your dish and serving spoon). If you are bringing a hot dish, if we could please ask you to bring something to keep it warm, as we do not have enough food chafing sets, preferably not an electric food warmer. We also need Raffle prizes as well, please donate any items to the Parish Sacristy or the office. Thank you. HOLY SPIRIT ROTAS

CONFIRMATION PROGRAMME 2020

If your son or daughter is in year 7 or above and would like to be confirmed this year, then Enrolment forms for the Confirmation programme will be available next weekend 8th/ 9th February. Enrolment Masses will be on the weekend 29th February/ 1st March. The Confirmation Day Mass will be on Saturday 30th May 12 Noon at St Barnabas Cathedral. Lesley Kimbley RIP

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Lesley Kimbley who died last week. Her Reception will be on Thursday 20th February 5pm,and her Funeral Mass on Friday 21st February at The Holy Spirit Church 10.45am. Please keep her family in your prayers.

This Annual Diocesan Mass to celebrate the gift of Christian marriage, is where married couples are able to renew their vows before the Bishop, and receive his Apostolic blessing on their Marriages. This year, it will take place on Sunday 16th February, 3pm at St Barnabas Cathedral. This Mass is open to all married couples, but is especially appropriate to those recently married, or celebrating a significant anniversary. All are Welcome.
