Our story Managed by father and son team Dominique and Mikael Salmon, Domain Salmon, near Nantes in the heart of the Loire Valley, was created in 1897 by Dominique’s grandfather. The history and winemaking skills have been passed down the generations as well as the passion and constant efforts to express all the character and authenticity

• f its terroir. Domaine Salmon is well respected for

quality and expertise in its appellation and this spirit is reflected in the wines it creates.

Our vineyards Our vineyards are located near Nantes, in the Loire Atlantique, along the Central Western coast of France. Situated in Château- Thébaud, we grow Melon de Bourgogne and the cultivation of the vines remains traditional. At Domaine Salmon we use techniques which respect the environment such as natural grass-making and tillage. Some of the vines are over 60 years old and have controlled yields. We work every day in our vineyards, which allows us a rigorous and rational monitoring of the conduct of our vines and our grapes. From pruning to harvest through disbudding or thinning when necessary, we carefully monitor our vineyards with a constant concern for the best quality and sublimation of the terroir.
