Bridge Mathematics

 The goal of Bridge Mathematics is to provide

students who struggle in mathematics the

  • pportunity to learn outcomes from the previous

grades and to work towards the Grade 9 outcomes.

 Elementary School Team will recommend students

Advanced Placement Programs - Offered in the areas

  • f Math, English, French and Art at the Grade 12 level.

We offer Calculus 30 AP and Advanced Integral Calculus in Grade 12. Math 90 Advanced – for students with high achievement in Math, a high level of work ethic and for those who enjoy to be challenged in the area of Mathematics. English 90 Advanced - for students with high achievement in English, a high level of work ethic, and for those who enjoy to be challenged in English. Programs are recommended by Elementary School Team and final placements will be determined by the STJ Admin team.

Grade 9 Advanced Programs

Math 90 Advanced - Students will take Math 90 Advanced in the first semester and Workplace and Apprenticeship 10 Advanced & Career Education in the second semester. English 90 Advanced - Students will take advanced ELA90 throughout the school year.

*French Immersion Students may be able to access Advanced Math in Grade 11 and Advanced English in Grade 10 – 12, if it works in their schedule.

Math 90 Online

If you are taking Mathematics 90 through cyber school, please indicate on the registration form. It will be necessary to also complete Mathematics 90 Career Ed online as it is taken during the Grade 9 math program. Students who choose advanced math will take Career Ed 90 in their second semester Grade 10 math course.
