Exam Schedule

  • You are available

during the full examination period (until 1 February). Check the student calendar on the student portal (soc.kuleuven.be/student portal)

  • It is possible that

extra exams can take place during the midterm break

  • Check your exam room one day before the exam.
  • Don’t forget to unsubscribe from the exam moment if you

don’t take the exam!

Written exams

  • Be in time! +/- 15 minutes before the start of the exam
  • Keep in mind that the public transport is not always on time
  • Too late? You can start the exam until 1/4 of the exam time has
  • passed. After that time, you’ll loose the exam chance.

What do you take with you?

  • Student card
  • Writing tools (e.g. in a transparant bag)
  • (Watch)
  • (Something small to eat or drink)

Written exams

  • Bags, jackets … need to be in front of the exam room
  • During the exam and while entering the room there is complete

silence

  • Mobile phones are switched off
  • Duration of the exam: mentioned on the first page of the exam bundle
  • Scratching papers are at your disposal to prepare your answer
  • Questions can be asked when the examiner enters the room
  • Sanitary break

Ombudsperson

= independent mediater between students and examiners during fraud cases, disputes, exam rescheduling …

  • Rescheduling of the exams
  • Only in case of serious reasons (e.g. serious illness or death in the family)
  • Train strikes that are timely announced, are no circumstances beyond someone’s

control.

  • Keep in mind: exam rescheduling is not an entitlement for students, even if you

have a doctor’s note. The ombuds person sovereignly decides if it is possible to

  • rganise an extra exam. !Extra exams are not always favourable since they can

be organised during the midterm break or in June

  • Mediation for students with special exam arrangements
  • Advisory role during the exam deliberations

Problem during the exams? Inform the ombuds person timely.

  • Your examresults will be available in your study progress file in

KU Loket.

You can review your exams within 7 calendar days after the announce ments of the exam results. The feedback/review moments are fixed dates. www.soc.kuleuven.be/studentportal
