Personal Safety • Medications – Don’t forget! • First Aid – A personal kit is a good idea • Dress – Prepare for high daytime temps, low nighttime temps if at high altitude site – Proper shoes/boots if duties include antenna setup, routing power cabling from generator(s) in off ‐ site locations • Food/Water – Bring plenty if not provided

Critter Safety Applicable for Mountain/Desert Sites • Take standard precautions for poisonous snake avoidance. – Know what you’re stepping into! – Avoid stepping over rocks/logs into an out ‐ of ‐ sight area – If snakes are in hiding and awaiting lunch, it’s unlikely they’ll rattle when confronted…they’ll just strike! • Insect repellant is a good idea – Mosquitoes, bees, wasps, etc

  10. Physical Strain Safety • Do not attempt to lift, pull, push more than you’d do at home. – Use leg, arm muscles as opposed to stressing back
