In such circumstances, siblings will be adjusted for ease of scheduling by parents.
▷ The Alphabetical cohort division follows:
○
Monday/Tuesday: Last name begins with A-L ○ Thursday/Friday: Last name begins with M-Z
Equity of In-person Days
A “Parent Calendar” to be provided for Stage 2 planning purposes. As district moves to stage 3, Cohort Calendar will no longer be needed.

Per CDC / NJDOE
AIR QUALITY & HVAC/FILTER MANAGEMENT
▷ Current NJ mechanical code requires that each space within our buildings to have a certain amount of outside ventilation air in order to maintain proper indoor air quality.
AIR QUALITY & HVAC/FILTER MANAGEMENT
▷ In consultation with our Architect and Engineers, our existing equipment provides such ventilation air and much of our Referendum is focused on the replacement of that equipment which will, in turn, provide improved outside ventilation air. ▷ For rooms without mechanical means to bring in outside air, the code allows for windows that open to provide fresh air to meet the needed outside air component.
▷ The District will be adding to the ventilation air in each classroom by opening up windows as possible and by providing window fans (where needed) which will continue to move the airflow out of the classrooms, media centers, and multi-purpose rooms.
AIR QUALITY & HVAC/FILTER MANAGEMENT
▷ Filters are inspected regularly as part of the District’s preventive maintenance plan and replaced as per manufacturer’s recommendations; at a minimum, every three (3) months. We are employing the use of filters recommended to remove fine particles in the air.
AIR QUALITY & HVAC/FILTER MANAGEMENT
Per CDC / NJDOE
▷ Social distancing during recess / PE ▷ Procedures for resumption of athletics and extracurriculars, if applicable (Oceanport Middle School Athletics and Extra-Curriculars will resume when District is cleared to return to “Stage 4” - Full Re-Opening)

Movement through Stages
Additional Guidance and Vetting:
▷ Additional Guidance / Board-Appointed School Physician. ▷ Vetting Information - Board Attorney, Oceanport Board of Education, School Reopening Committee / Pandemic Response Team, Oceanport Administrators’ Association and Oceanport Education Association ▷ Please Note: The district cannot predict the trajectory of the COVID-19 virus or its rate of transmission. Accordingly, the district cannot currently predict a date and time for movement to stage 3.
What is the protocol if someone has a fever and/or symptoms?
✔ Covid-19 Testing will be required for student / staff if symptoms are present. ✔ Individual must remain quarantined 14 days until doctor clearance is provided in writing. ✔ If initial contact tracing indicates that students across cohorts may be impacted, school will call an emergency closure. ✔ Following Consultation with appropriate Agencies, the district will seek additional guidance from the Board-Appointed School Physician. ✔ Virtual learning will ensue until it is deemed safe to return to school by the Department of Health, in consult with: ▪ Board-Approved School Physician ▪ Oceanport Emergency Management ▪ NJDOE Executive County Superintendent
