EMERGENCY RULES NURSE DELEGATION
Nurse Delegation Emergency Rules 1. Basic caregiving training waived for nursing assistants who may be nurse delegated. 2. The person must be nursing assistant registered (NAR) and complete CORE training (nine-hour nurse delegation training). Training may be completed using the self-study option. 3. Electronic consent is an acceptable format for nurse delegation.
Nurse Delegation Emergency Rules 4. Supervision by the delegating nurse must occur at least every 120 days. 5. For delegation of insulin injection, the RN must evaluate and train the nursing assistant once and then again at least every 120 days. 6. The in-home care setting delegation decision tree has been removed from rule. Effective:4.24.2020---8.22.2020
