VY Decommissioning Update

  • Dry Fuel Storage Project

– Dry Fuel Loading

  • Thirty-three (33) casks have been loaded in current campaign with a total
  • f 46 of 58 casks stored on the ISFSI pads.
  • Target all fuel transferred to the ISFSI by end of 2018 (could be complete

by the end of September).

– Holtec Cask Inspections – Complete

  • Reduction of Site Protected Area to ISFSI Only

Construction has been progressing since November 2017.

Implementation is contingent on NRC approval of proposed changes to Physical Security Plan.

T argeted completion by the end of 2018 to support transition to SAFS TOR or transaction with NorthStar.

– A total of 757,000 gallons have been shipped to date.

  • Next shipment is scheduled for 6/ 14/ 18

– Water Disposition Program

  • Reduction of groundwater entering the turbine building.
  • Current rate of 500 - 700 GPD due to seasonal variances

– Groundwater is being safely shipped to EnergySolutions licensed

disposal site in T ennessee.

  • Employee Information Sessions and Presentations

– Scheduled in coordination with the Vermont, Massachusetts & New

Hampshire Departments of Labor.

– Similar to previous sessions preceding employee separations.

NRC License Transfer Application Update

  • License Transfer Application (L

TA) filed with NRC – Feb. 9, 2017

  • NRC issued a second request for additional information (RAIs) on

April 5th. A response was provided to NRC on M ay 21st.

  • Completion of NRC review and decision on LTA expected later

this year.

  • The ENVY Nuclear Decommissioning Trust (NDT) balance was

$552.5 M illion on April 30, 2018

  • The NDT balance was $581.5 M illion on December 31, 2017

Summary of NDT Performance in 2018:

  • Beginning Balance (1/ 1/ 18) - $581.5M
  • $17.8M in Qualified Withdrawals
  • $5.7M in Negative Market Adjustments
  • $5.5M in Fund Expenses

Reported to NRC annually in accordance with 10 CFR 50.75(f)(1) and 10 CFR 50.82(a)(8)(v) on March 31st.

  • The Site Restoration Trust balance was $30.9 M illion
  • n April 30, 2018.

Entergy has funded a total of $25M; $5.9M fund growth.
