1923 A new Borough School was built in Jonathan Robert’s former cow pasture in Gothic Revival style. Richard Simmons thought the school to be somewhat austere and donated trees.
1927 Borough School Seventh Graders
1933 Borough School Eighth Graders. Compare the footwear and dress in this photograph with that of the previous picture, six year earlier. Gone are the girls’ high-top “granny shoes”. The boys wear the new buck-and-wing style.
1969 106 Students Sports and activities- Band, Chorus, Safety Patrol, Newspaper, Yearbook, Student Council, Basketball, Soccer, Foreign Language, Art, Gymnastics, Mr. Arthur T. Kapral was an amazing, Home Economics, Science, Shop encouraging principal here. He passed away on June 11, 1987 Every year we celebrate his time at Borough by having an ATK Field Day!
