  4. WHY ARE WE HERE? The single most important factor in the future of rural communities is the presence of highly-skilled, highly-motivated leaders who are committed to bringing about positive change in today's challenging economic environment.

Identifying key assets Ø Identifying strategies and tools to improve local economic climate Ø Development of projects Ø Build new partnerships and connections to resources Ø Ø Submit Letters of Inquiry to Golden LEAF November

RURAL CENTER’S ROLE Ø Provide tools and knowledge through training and coaching Ø Assist in building inclusive project leadership teams Ø Identify strategies and tools to advance region’s economic climate Ø Help project teams identify assets and opportunities Ø Assist with identifying resources and partnerships Ø Assist with development of strategic projects

ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES Ø Engaged broad-based leadership teams that will continue to collaborate for betterment of region Ø Demonstration of true collaboration across counties, sectors, and organizations Ø Increased understanding of economic and social data and trends in region Ø Increased awareness of region’s assets and opportunities
