MAIN OBJECTIVES S&T goals of the project  To develop an open and easily replicable methodology for designing, constructing, and operating new low energy buildings, aiming to a large market uptake. This methodology will be based on LCs, BIM and IPD.  To validate and refine this methodology by a strong demonstration programme, envisaging the construction of 27.000 m 2 : 5 demo sites covering different climatic zones, buildings types and uses. MAIN OBJECTIVES Demonstrators: Borås & Kungsbacka 314 m 2 Industrialised Mons single residential 15.000 m 2 houses Several type of residential and tertiary buildings Bergamo 1.700 m 2 Residential and tertiary Zaragoza 2.400 m 2 Istanbul Offices and 7.500 m 2 laboratories University classrooms The most appropriate energy efficient solutions and technologies to be implemented in the N E E D 4 B demos will be selected during the project execution

MAIN OBJECTIVES Impact expected (1/5) By means of NEED4B, building architects, designers, promoters, contractors, owners, users and related public authorities will be able to adopt the developed and demonstrated methodology, contributing to boost high quality new energy efficient buildings design, construction and operation. On average, compared to new existing buildings 65% reduction of the primary energy consumption 1. 94% GHG reduction 2. 20% satisfaction of the energy demand with RES 3. Setting up EU-wide low energy buildings requirements  2. NEED4B new methodological approach will be summarized and delivered to the main stakeholders, by producing guidelines and best practices.
