Aden subnational RHIAWG Updates ➢The provision of the full RH service in the western coast became available now after upgrading Al Mukha Hospital to provide CEmONC services by UNFPA and DEEM. IRC upgraded Albouriqa MCH to CEmONC. ➢LMIS training for the RH district directors continued. The remaining governorates are Al Mahara, Socotra, and Al Dhalea.

Aden subnational RHIAWG Updates ➢MOPHP represented by population sector plan to update the RH Guidelines, the process is ongoing. ➢The RH procurement plan of RH commodities: continue meeting to finalize the 2020 Supply plan. ➢Formation of Adolescent and Youth Health committee within the RHIAWG is on going. A draft report has been produced by the consultant that will be reviewed by the committee soon.

Challenges ➢ Delays in release of RH supplies from ports and movement of supplies within the country leading to stock out of key commodities. ➢ Partners face delays in implementation of activities because of the prolonged mechanism for approval of projects by authorities. ➢ Difficulty in attracting HWs to the hard to reach areas based on current health cluster salary scale.
