Checklist for 2016/17 Season  Update Club contacts  Update passwords if change of personnel  Use Softball Australia National Registration Form (#50878) ONLY  Current SAL form is for 2016/17 Registrations  Associations to update Association specific questions  Clubs to update Club specific questions  Ensure you download 2015/16 member records for historical purposes  Check member email addresses are up to date  Ensure Member record types (MRT) are highlighted in the form. DO NOT CHANGE THE MRT’s. They must remain as Senior, Junior, Sub Junior, Official, Off Diamond. Casuals will be dealt with separately.

Changes to the System

• Life member field is now available.
• This is part of the registration form for information only
• Ownership of a record by a club for permits.

When you request a permit for a player you can only select the club they are currently registered with (their home club). This reduces the incidents of asking for a permit from the wrong club.

• Eg. J Smith is registered with GEMSA but plays and is permitted to Waverley.
• J. Smith then asks for a permit to play at Dandenong from Waverly instead of
• GEMSA. This cannot happen anymore. Only GEMSA can approve a permit.
• Multiple registrations / re registrations can now be done.

If multiple members are using the same email address then you can register them at the same time.

Changes to the System Once a permit has been completed the receiving club can see the member

• record. If the member record shows NOT REGISTERED then;

* Contact the home club to register the member * Contact Kerrie Laverick to investigate the registration

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE RECEIIVING CLUB REGISTER THE MEMBER AS THIS IMPACTS ON WHO SV CHARGES FOR THEIR MEMBERSHIP AND IMPACTS THE CLEARANCE/PERMIT SYSTEM

Casual Registration Unfortunately the My Softball Community database cannot cope with the parameters of the definition of casual and has therefore been removed from the system for the time being. We have in the interim created a form via our SV website for all casual registrations to occur. These will be worded as event registrations. For each event registration an email will be sent to SV and to the event

• rganiser to advise them of the registration.

Event / Casual Registration If a casual registration is for an association/club run event SV will charge the Association $15 (incl GST). If a casual registration is for an SV run event SV will charge the individual the $15 plus an additional event fee to be determined for each event.
