Council Policy 100-8 “Municipal Softball Park Master Plan” 2011 amendments included:

  • Elimination of adult league use in Spring to allow youth league on Saturdays
  • Altering scheduling of play to High School softball program to begin in February

Proposed Amendments

Allow youth baseball/softball leagues to begin in February

Modify “Scheduling of Play” Alter “Tournament” section

Increase number of tournaments from 5 to 8 Increase number of tournaments on consecutive weekends to no more than 3

Modify “Hours of Play” section

Allow games to start at 9 am vs. 9:30 am 9 am is consistent with Use Policies at Arnett & George Washington

Modify title of policy to “Municipal Softball Park Rules, Regulations & Improvements”

Existing policy title is misleading as there is no formal “master plan” for the park.
