This project was the initial mixed use project for the Town of Brownsburg that master- planned a vision of recreating its downtown to attract new and retain existing residents and businesses. In all, the Town attracted $90 million of investment in urban development consisting of four projects that included office, retail and restaurant, parking, and multifamily. Next door to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, best knows as host of the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400, Scannell is operating as master developer of a mixed use project that consists of multifamily, parking, commercial space, and a hotel. While Scannell is not the developer or owner of the hotel project, it assisted the Town in overseeing the due diligence and use of the site. Scannell’s project is comprised of 90 market rate units, surface parking, and 8,300 square feet of commercial space. Scannell is currently in discussion with a local restaurant user to lease 5,300 square feet of space, which would be the third location for this locally owned user (different user than Brownsburg).
