Risk relates to a group of RTOs, specific industry areas or Standards, or the VET sector as a whole. The impact of this type of risk is often significant and far-reaching, and could potentially be detrimental to training and employment outcomes for graduates and

  • n the reputation of VET.

Provider Risk Systemic Risk

Risk relates to an individual RTO. It is often the result of decisions and actions an RTO takes that if left unmanaged, could impact negatively on training outcomes for students, industry or the community.

TAE applications

  • Standards for VET Regulators 2015 (Clause 1.5)- RTOs are

required to have held registration for at least two years continuously at the time of adding any AQF qualification or assessor skills set from the TAE Training Package.

  • Applications will need to be accompanied by evidence of:
  • trainers and assessors
  • strategies for training and assessment for TAE40116,

and if the RTO has TAE40110 on scope, the RTO’s current strategies for training and assessment

  • assessment instruments for specific units (4)
  • independent validation
  • All applications for TAE40116 will receive a site audit
