What was the APOP project?

  • High power upgrade to the Stryker vehicle, 8X increase
  • 120kW, 600VDC Inline Generator (DRS)
  • 2 x 10kW 600V-28V DC-DC converter (BAE)
  • 35kW Main Cooling Fan (Marvin Land Systems)
  • 12kW Electric Hydraulic Pump (Parker)
  • J1772 Export Power Connection (REMA)

Fuel Usage Summary

Baseline APOP

Purpose: Measure performance and fuel usage as future loads added 20 test points of varying road load, speed, and electrical load. APOP Test adds 11, 34 and 59 kW of high voltage load depending on point.

Conclusions

  • Generally performed as good or better than baseline at an

equivalent vehicle load

  • Challenges still exist as future loads are added to the system
  • Opportunities exist for further optimization and load

shedding
