MISSIONAL INTENTIONALITY

“Go and make disciples of all nations…” Matthew 28:19 “Go into the world & preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15 “…and the repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luke 24:47 “As the Father has sent me, I also send you.” John 20:21 “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

LET’S ASK OURSELVES

  • Are we engaging in both fellowship and ministry?
  • Do we have a heart for evangelism? Are we doing it?
  • How do we make sure that ministry does not come

at the expense of our families, our jobs, and our sanity?

slide-4
SLIDE 4

MY APPROACH TO EVANGELISM

  • 1. Pray & be a student of the Bible
  • 2. Pray & write out my testimony (1 Peter 3:15)
  • 3. Pray & write out a family mission statement, family

goals and personal goals EVERY YEAR

  • 4. Pray before, during and after every event and

encounter

slide-5
SLIDE 5

MISSION STATEMENTS AND GOALS

  • …guide you forward
  • …focus your energy and

attention

  • …drive action
  • …allow you to assess your

success

slide-6
SLIDE 6

LET’S BE INTENTIONAL TO…

  • …pray daily and ask Jesus to give us the opportunity to share the

gospel with someone.

  • Let’s look for that opportunity & be quick to encourage others

by sharing the reason for the hope that we have (1 Peter 3:15)

  • Let’s also make plans that facilitate gospel opportunities!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a season of giving

…and we wanted to say thank you for the joy you give those who pass by your home. Thank you for the work you put into giving us something beautiful to look at. Two thousand years ago God gave us the greatest gift when He sent his son — the Lord Jesus Christ to the world. John 3:16 tells us “For God so love the world that He gave his only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” Christmas is a time when Christians remember the birth of Jesus, but Jesus didn’t just come into the world to be born as a baby. Jesus came to save sinners. Our sin keeps us from God, but while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Then, three days later, he rose from the grave and is now in heaven preparing a place for those who are His. The greatest news is that He died for you and if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). We hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Please let us know if you are able to attend church and/or lunch by emailing Lisa at LMHH@sent.com. If you’re not sure until the last minute, that’s fine,

“Jesus was on a mission. He ignored cultural norms to seek the broken, He defied social boundaries to touch the untouchable, and He challenged the nature of justice to free the

law perfectly and bore its consequence on the cross to bring salvation for all humanity. He was raised from the dead; conquered sin, death, and the devil; and ushered in a kingdom of victory.”
