Power Chat Opportunity for HS Girls:

Calling all high school girls! Be a VIP! Each year, GEN hosts a VIP session at the We Are Girls Austin

  • Conference. The session is attended by GEN supporters who are leaders within the Central Texas

community and includes Power Chats with high school girls, where girls have the opportunity to speak with these community leaders directly! The leaders who will be present are engineers, entrepreneurs, real estate agents, lawyers, and more, who work at companies like Apple, Main Street Hub, Samsung, Lexus, and HomeAway. The Power Chat VIP session is from 10am - 1pm on Saturday, November 3rd at Anderson High School. The session is open to girls in grades 8-12 who are interested in meeting community leaders, sharing stories, asking questions about careers, and learning from each other. We welcome girls who would like to come speak with relatable role models to learn more about career paths and practice professional skills in a safe environment! Lunch is included!

Halloween Fun in Secondary Wednesday, October 31st

6TH - 11TH GRADERS … may dress “From the Neck Up” but regular school uniform must be worn from the neck down. The following ARE allowed: hats, wigs, face paint, and eye masks. Cooking or eating popcorn will not be allowed in After School 6th -12th on Tuesday (9/11) and Wednesday (9/12). Popcorn has been burned too often and is being left all over the floors and tables.

Summer Verification of Enrollment (VOE)

This form is REQUIRED for driver’s permits and driver’s licenses. If a VOE is needed over the summer, please request before May 21st and pick it by May 25th or request by June 12th and pick up June 14th. Requests for the 2018-2019 school year will begin again on July 16. To receive a VOE Form, you must pick up a request form from Mrs. Seaman in the High School office.

Fall Picture Day is Monday, October 1st!

All 6th - 11th graders will take school pictures on Monday, October 1st. Students should wear REGULAR SCHOOL UNIFORM for these photos. These are the “head and shoulder” photos that are printed in the yearbook! P.E. Classes will not dress out on October 1st.
