  3. Q: Do you think students are provided with sufficient resources to deal with their mental health issues? A: It has gotten to the point now that it feels more like a mini-clinic more so than a high school. We have all kinds of issues.

Problem Statement: From the disregard to the lack of awareness of mental health issues, there exists a disconnect between students, teachers, counselors, and the administration that Mental Health is a person's condition hinders the current and prospective growth in with regard to his/her psychological various aspects of students' lives in the school and emotional well-being. environment. Thesis: The ISBE SAC of 2016-2017 is in support of improving student's academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes in relation to the ISBE's ESSA plan by raising awareness of mental health issues in schools.
