Problem Statement: From the disregard to

the lack of awareness of mental health issues, there exists a disconnect between students, teachers, counselors, and the administration that hinders the current and prospective growth in various aspects of students' lives in the school environment.

Thesis: The ISBE SAC of 2016-2017 is in support

  • f improving student's academic, social,

emotional, and behavioral outcomes in relation to the ISBE's ESSA plan by raising awareness of mental health issues in schools.

Mental Health is a person's condition with regard to his/her psychological and emotional well-being.
