 Risk assessment scores  Possibly DEXA scan to assess bone density  Assess need for treatment  HRT is protective

Contraception

 If last period is before the age of 50, contraception

is required for a further 2 years

 If last period is after the age of 50, contraception is

required for a further 1 year

 At age 55 it safe to assume contraception no longer

Cervical Screening

  • Looks for abnormal changes that can develop into

cancer if not treated

  • 99% are linked with HPV
  • In NI 3 yearly aged 25-49, 5 yearly aged 50-64
