Phase I: Application period (Fall 2019 to June 1, 2020) Phase II: Selection of commissioners (June 1 to Sept. 1, 2020) Phase III: Redistricting Commission seated (Fall 2020 to fall 2021)

Who’s eligible?

 You must be a Michigan registered voter

Redistricting Commission must be politically balanced

  • Any partisan political officials*
  • Candidates*
  • Registered lobbyists*
  • An officer or member of the governing body of

a national, state, or local political party*

*And any of their employees or close relatives

Fill out an application Open till June 1st Applications MUST Be Notarized

  • The SOS will be providing Free Notarization at all 131

branch locations

  • All applications that are incomplete or not notarized will

be eliminated *Free Notary Services Available at Michigan.gov/FreeNotary*
