COVID-19 Prevention and Management

  • Required all Sound Transit Contractors to submit a C19

Management plan

  • Reviewed and accepted plan on Agency criteria derived from

DOSH, L&I, and CDC guidance and directives

Tree Removal and Replacement

Key Issues

  • High public visibility on I-5
  • Current number (e.g. trees removed and replaced) are based
  • n preliminary engineering. Final numbers forthcoming with

completion of final design (Q3 2020).

  • Number of trees to be replanted are derived from local

jurisdiction codes

  • Overall tree replacement ratio is approximately 2:1
  • Contractor committed to donating 4,000 trees and providing

recovered lumber to Habitat for Humanity for housing projects
