  • 1. It is the same specie as the native variety.
  • 2. They grow faster.
  • 3. The leaves are fines and more palatable when

cooked.

  • 4. The fruits or pods are longer (70cm to 100cm)

are fleshier.

  • 5. There is a line that the fruits or pods are short

and stout. What is the Indian malungay or moringa?

  • 1. The survival rate of the stem for planting is very

low, hence it is recommended that the seeds should be planted.

  • 2. The plant starts flowering in six (6) months
  • 3. The plants are very resistant to drought.
  • 4. The plants cannot survive submerged
