  4. ABOUT MIBC 1 Formed on 18 th June 2008. Premier non-profit organisation, bringing corporate and 2 business leaders together whose establishments already have presence in Malaysia and/or India. 3 Vision is to create a well-networked and a well-informed investment between Malaysia and India. Acts as a channel in providing the Malaysian authorities 4 with views and recommendations on how economic ties between Malaysia and India can be intensified. Sector Coverage: Construction, Infrastructure, Services, 5 Education, Oil & Gas, Information Technology, and Healthcare Sector. 6 Notable MIBC members: Khazanah, CIDB, TCS, Manipal, IJM, ICICI, GIC, MAHB, PwC, HSS and AirAsia Malaysia - India Business Council 4

  6. INDIA-MALAYSIA BILATERAL TIES India is the largest trading partner for Malaysia from among the countries of South Asia and the third largest in ASEAN.   8. 1 - BILATERAL ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP INVEST INDIA • Invest India and MIBC established a synergistic working relationship to further strengthen bilateral ties through trade, investment and services for India and Malaysia. • The working relationship came into effect on 25 th September 2019 with the signing of MoU. Forthcoming Events – North East India 5 th – 11 th November 2019 • MIBC is hosting Malaysian business delegation to North East India and Invest India is the main coordinator in India. • Invest India identified investable sectors and projects in North East India for Malaysian business delegation. • Meetings with Central and State Ministries to be organised by Invest India.   9. 2 - BILATERAL ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and MIBC signed Co-operation Agreement on 14 th February 2019, in conjunction with MICEOF, Kuala Lumpur. • To strengthen, improve economic co-operation two-way trade and investment. • Mutually assist and contribute to the expanding of commercial ties for businesses, including opportunities mainly for Education, Tourism, Primary Industries and Resource Sectors. • Great exchange of information on trade, business environment and investment opportunities. • Facilitate and assist in business trade missions from India visiting Malaysia and vice versa. • Assistance in coordinating participation in seminar, national exhibitions, international trade, economic and technical fairs, information bureau, symposia, conferences, or similar events taking place in respective countries.   10. 3 - BILATERAL ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA) • To strengthen, improve economic co-operation two-way trade and investment. • Mutually assist and contribute to the expanding of commercial ties for businesses, including opportunities mainly for Education, Tourism, Primary Industries and Resource Sectors. • Great exchange of information on trade, business environment and investment opportunities. • Facilitate and assist in business trade missions from India visiting Malaysia and vice versa. • Assistance in coordinating participation in seminar, national exhibitions, international trade, economic and technical fairs, information bureau, symposia, conferences, or similar events taking place in respective countries. • Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture and MIBC signed Co-operation Agreement on 25 th June 2019, followed by F&B industry networking session (during Malaysia International F&B Trade Fair 2019) Malaysia - India Business Council 10

  11. 4 - BILATERAL ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP VIBRANT GOA • Malaysia has been selected as partner to the Goa government. • MIBC has been selected as the primary point of contact for Vibrant Goa 2019 and this was effected through MoU signing with Vibrant Goa Foundation on 17 th October 2019. • Vibrant Goa will bring enormous two-way opportunities for Business to Business (B2B), Business to Government (B2G), knowledge sharing, technology transfer, investments and JVs and multi-sectoral exhibition. • This will further enhance Malaysia – India bilateral relationship Malaysia - India Business Council 11

MOU’S BEING NEGOTIATED MIBC anticipate to sign MoUs with the following bodies: • Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) • Confederation of Real Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) • Construction Federation of India (CFI) • The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) Malaysia - India Business Council 13

KEY FEATURES OF THE 8 TH MICEOF ON 14 TH FEBRUARY 2019, KUALA LUMPUR • MICEOF hosted by Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) Malaysia. • The counterpart from India is led by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). • CEOs from both India and Malaysia get together to promote business understanding and enhance participation through investments in both countries. Shri Mridul Kumar, including the Dialogue with the Honourable Minister. • New members: MIDA, MATRADE, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, MAICCI, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, and PETRONAS. • Malaysia as Co-Chair of MICEOF was given the Chairmanship under the leadership of Tan Sri Ir. Kuna Sittampalam and India Co-Chair remain under the leadership of Padma Shri Milind Kamble Malaysia - India Business Council 16

KEY FEATURES OF THE 8 TH MICEOF ON 14 TH FEBRUARY 2019, KUALA LUMPUR • A presentation on “The New Malaysia: Challenges and Opportunities.” by Professor Yeah Kim Leng of Sunway University, as a Special Guest of the Malaysian side. • 2 MoUs were signed in the presence of MITI Minister: MIBC & CII and MIDA & CII. • The next meeting of MICEOF is scheduled to be held in New Delhi in 2020.
