Out of the total area under cotton cultivation in India, Maharashtra assumes 37 % share .Out of the total Maharashtra share , Khandesh Area alone assumes 46% of land under cotton cultivation. Farmers in Maharashtra grow the quality cotton with the parameters accepted world wide . The reason for the quality cotton of Maharashtra is drip irrigation and quality seeds developed under standard R & D process undertaken by experts.
