With hisd very strict rules the empire grew even more. ❏ In 297 B.C Chandragupta gave his kingdom to his son. ❏ HIs son, Ashoka was also one of the greatest rulers in India. ❏

  11. Ashoka and the Gupta Empire Emperor Ashoka was a very good warrior he lead his men into battle and ❏ almost united all of India. He also extended the maurya empire into what is today Afghanistan, ❏ Bangladesh and Pakistan. After he conquered the Kalinga empire he became a very peaceful man. ❏ In 232 B.C Ashoka died. And the Maurya empire fell apart. ❏ A few years later the Gupta empire emerged. ❏ From the beginning to the end of the Gupta Empire was known as the ❏ Golden Age.

There were many Artistic achievements such as: ❏ Metal workers coming up with new ideas of metallurgy. ❏ Frescoes, known as artists at that time were very busy painting all the ❏ structures with extreme detail.
