WHAT WE DID

• ‘Does education free us do we need to free education?’
• Our session was titled- ‘Monetary or Moral.’ What is the purpose of

education in the UK?

• Ken Robinson TED talk on education
• Introduced different philosophical theories on education
• Brief outline of the variety of education systems and then asked

students to discuss their own education systems in their respective countries.

• Explained how the fee system in the UK is making higher

education more business centric.

• Brief discussion on censorship.
• Brief case study of the Finnish education system.

OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS

• Range of talks and activities that took place
• utside and indoors, from professors, post-grads

and under-grads.
