Staffing • Our most valuable resource • Committed to the provision of a high quality customer service. • Employment Opportunities: - Leitrim County Library Service facilitated a range of work experience placements in 2015 including: Transition Year Students / Third Level Students

2015 Developments • Opening hours in Kinlough Library were reviewed in consultation with the local community and educational organisations. The opening hours were amended to strengthen service delivery. There was no reduction to opening hours. • The introduction of WiFi facilities in Ballinamore, Carrick-on-Shannon, Manorhamilton and Mohill Libraries is a very important step in enhancing service delivery to our local community and to visitors - projecting a very positive image of the Library Service and of Leitrim County Council.

Library Service Developments – 2016 • Capital Development - Proposal for a new purpose-built Library in Carrick-on-Shannon has been submitted to the Department. • Shared services - National discussions are ongoing regarding the implications for Leitrim/Roscommon/Sligo as a shared library service.
