  8. When are we going to do these works • Closure will commence April 16th 2018. • Planned duration 2 weeks • Duration could be affected by condition of the existing carriageway and will be weather dependant. • Working extended hours and weekends to minimise disruption

Communication • Public Meetings • Notification in Griffiths Newsletter and on Griffiths Website. https://community.alungriffiths.co.uk • Local closure signs to be updated with any changes in date and times if any changes are required. • Gail Jones to keep Powys County Council, The Emergency Services, Residents (via contact list) and Kerry Community Council informed if there are issues or delays or amendments prior to during the road closure.

Other Measures • Additional signs at either end of Wern Ddu Lane, advising road closed to all except residents • Police presence on Wern Ddu Lane • Additional signage on the A489 at the Chestnut Drive crossroads which will give lorries the opportunity to turn if they have ignored the previous signs. • Condition Surveys of Local diversions routes prior to and following the Closure • Sweeper to clean local diversion routes
