Welfare Adult wellness team • Circus tent for the clowns out there • Quiet area for adults quick break • Time out for Joeys • Be Prepared • Its only two nights • Hugs and Medicinal concrete supplied • Train your Parents • Empower your Joeys • Check with Bron Mepstead for all other concerns or problems. • Will provide an over night facility for Joeys and or leaders to rest if non • contagious and short term only.

  4. Sun safe – Slip, Slop and Slap • Sun Hats • Sunscreen – applied several times during the day • Shirts with Collars and Sleeves

  5. First Aid • Medications: check child , medication and administration . Two people and record accurately. • Bring your own band aids and minor first aid kit. • Asthma medication to be carried by the child with updated action plan. • Epi pen and updated action to be carried by leader accompanying the Joey. • Make sure care monkey is updated of any changes prior to coming to camp.

  7. What are we being asked? 1. PIN generation issues/requests • Send them through – happy to help – Scout ID and Name 2. Can I come with my Joey Scout? • All adults staying on site must be registered with Scouts Victoria, hold a Working With Children Check and complete the Child Safe Scouting eLearning module. 3. When do applications close? • 7 th February 2020 4. When and where will the buses leave from? • Transport will be finalised after applications close, when we know who is coming.

Requirements - Leaders, Adult Helpers, Rostered Parents, Rovers, Venturers(18 Plus) • Registered with Scouts Victoria • Have a Current WWWC at the time of Kangaree • Have a Current Completion the WHS Module • Have a Current Completion of the Child Safe • 18 Plus Venturers will Camp with Adults • Make sure these Modules Up to date by 7 th February 2020.

  9. What do Joey Scouts Wear? • Joey Scout Uniform – To and From Kangaree • No Group Scarves • Make you own woggles • Packing List will be available soon.

  14. Uniform Orders • Uniform Orders will be via the Q-Store – watch Be Informed for the link. • The sooner you order the sooner they will arrive. • Last Orders – • Orders will be delivered by the End of February 2020.

  16. Timetable /Handbook • Handbook will be released in Late February • Timetable for Activities • Map of where everything is

  17. Catering Before meal time: • Go to the toilet • Wash and sanitise hands • Everyone must bring a drink bottle – we’ll have cordial and water outside for you to fill them up • Arrive at the time specified for your mob (check your handbook) • Visit Wombat Hollow before/after your meal time

  18. Catering During meal time: • We’ll have more space and more time • You’ll be eating in your mob for every meal • Mob leaders and adult helpers to assist Joey Scouts serve themselves and assemble their food

  19. Catering Modified diets: • A lot of modified diets can be handled at the table – no ham, no tomato etc • Menu on the table will highlight where alternatives have been prepared • Leader come to the modified diets counter to collect additional dietary items

  20. Catering After meal time: • Clear all rubbish from your table • Joey Scouts to wash their dishes • Collect your snack on the way out Service/Activity leaders will eat separately
