DREDGING - for OIL and GAS activities in Canada

Dredging is an excavation activity or operation usually carried out at least partly underwater, in shallow seas or fresh water areas with the purpose of gathering up bottom sediments and disposing of them at a different location. In Holland dredging and land reclamation has been ongoing for centuries, ever since the Frieslanders first settled there. GOD CREATED THE WORLD BUT THE DUTCH CONSTRUCTED HOLLAND

Environmental cleanup and disposal

Pollution Recovery System

Designed to remove oil and chemicals from vessels lying on the sea bed in very deep water without using divers. Currently depths of 500 meters can be obtained and greater depths down to 4000 meters are envisaged. Artificial island constructed to place environmentally sensitive materials. Disc cutter developed for removing polluted materials. Trailer suction hopper dredge with modified suction pipe arms for collecting surface oil.

DREDGING - GOING DEEPER

Innovation, Engineering & Development

Concept designs are currently being engineered to excavate material and place protection at depths of more than 250 meters below sea level

DREDGING – EXCAVATING HARDER MATERIALS

Pipeline trenching is now possible in seabed soils with UCS values up to 30 MPa in harsh metocean conditions and environmentally sensitive areas. Hard soil is normally dredged by means

  • f a Cutter Suction Dredger.

Special drag heads (ripper drag heads) are developed for large Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers for the dredging of harder soil.
