Bulgaria, officially the Republic of Bulgaria, is a country in Southeast Europe. The capital and largest city is Sofia. Other major cities are Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas. With a territory of 110,994 square kilometers, Bulgaria is Europe's 16th- largest country.

Simeon I the Great ruled Bulgaria from 893 to 927, during the First Bulgarian Empire. Simeon's successful wars led Bulgaria to its greatest territorial expansion ever, making it the most powerful state in Eastern Europe. His reign was also known as The Golden Age of Bulgarian culture.

In Bulgarian historiography, the liberation of Bulgaria refers to those events of the Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878) that led to the re- establishment of the Bulgarian state under the Treaty of San Stefano on 3rd of March 1878 – our National Day. On 6th September 1885, Eastern Rumelia became part of the Principality of Bulgaria after a bloodless unification.

The temperate continental climate and black soils create perfect conditions for growing wheat, vegetables, sunflowers, barley and corn.
Sheep, cattle, pigs and cows are mainly bred in Montana region.
The most famous historical place in the town is the Ancient Roman fortress. The center of the city and the main square are really lovely for a walk especially in the spring and summer, because of the fountains and the huge amount of flowers.

Our school had its 100th anniversary not so long ago (2015), which was generously celebrated with a number of live performances of different kinds.
When it comes to extracurricular activities, there is a wide range to choose from. Some of which are: the astronomy club, UNICEF program, club Europe, several sport ones and our well known school orchestra.
