Gold levels

DYW says: “Over the medium to longer term, we would look to the majority of employers to achieve the Bronze entry level as a minimum. Public sector employers are in a strong position across the country to lead by example and would generally be expected to achieve the Gold level.”

people, and recognition for those that are already doing this.

  • Focusses on three key elements of Youth Employment – Attraction and

Recruitment, Support and Development and Retention. Issues besides youth unemployment - ageing workforce, skills gaps and shortages, talent development, succession planning and Customer insight.

  • Employing and developing young talent can be the solution.
  • IIYP supports organisations from across the private, public and third sectors to assist

them in meeting their business objectives by engaging and developing a talent pipeline for the future.

  • How many people there are in the organisation (to calculate subsidy

  • Number of young people 16-24, managers, people involved in

recruitment and development, people recruited aged 16-24 and retained, leaders. Include others as required.

/ Impact of IIYP

  • Research study and evaluation report (April 2015) show:
  • IIYP assists employers to develop knowledge of resources available to them in

their recruitment and retention of young people (75% of respondees)

  • An increase in employers commitment to recruiting young people (70%)
  • and developing young people (75%).
  • 80% of respondees also intimated that they were likely or highly likely to

renew their accreditation at their next due date despite no funding.

  • Employers also enjoy the fact that IIYP marks them out as an employer

effective in their approach to recruiting, retaining and developing young people, with 100% respondees agreeing with this statement.

  • NPS score of 95!!!
