Economic A large share of total economic impact can be attributed to participants’ spending, which includes expenditure on goods and services inside event venues (food and beverage, retail, and others) and outside venues (accommodation, food & beverage, retail, transport, entertainment, tours and other). Participants consists of foreign-based athletes taking part in an event, and the delegates accompanying them. The latter consists of coaches, managers, federation officials and, in some cases, relatives and friends of the athletes. Sports Tourism Enhance the image of the City as a vibrant sport tourism destination internationally and nationally and to create a new youthful attraction and popular activity for tourists. Participants may also consider the City to be an overseas training facility.

Employment The hosting of events requires a large number of support staff including event promoters, security, medical services and hospitality personnel. It should be noted that most of the jobs created tend to be temporary in nature, with minimal impact

Such development can be a significant driver of event-related economic impact.
