The OPT solution is based on six principles:

Voters choose if they want the OPT through a

plebiscite

Voters choose the projects the OPT funds
The OPT is capped at 1%
The OPT is defined, it is a sunset tax
The OPT will have low administrative costs as it will be

piggybacked onto the GST

A portion of the OPT funds will support the operation
